Had a long rehearsal today, so on the way there, we stopped at TJ Maxx. No amazing dresses, but I did find a few jackets that I liked. OMG! Such great deals!

Search for the Dress Part 1

Well, to my dismay, they no longer have the blue dress that I loved in my size. Thus, beginning the hunt for my perfect dress. Am I making too much of a big deal about finding a fabulous dress? YES. That's what I do.
Forever 21 didn't have any other ones that I liked, so I looked at "Twelve by Twelve," which is apparently a F21 brand, but it has different stuff. Nothing was absolutely PERFECT but I did find this one, and I think it's really cute. However, I don't know which color I like better. By default, I would usually choose the magenta one, but I started thinking, the olive is really pretty too. Which color do you think would look better on me?

Here, I tried to provide some kind of visual aid. LOL!

Wow, I haven't mentioned Bye Bye Birdie in a while. It's really starting to come together. We've started to run both acts, and they're looking pretty good. We still have two weeks, which our director says is like years in theater time. I know it will turn out fab.

Ughhh- gave my speech today. How nerve-wracking. The speech was supposed to be 5-7 minutes long, so at home, I planned the speed at which I was going to say everything. When I started reading- all of that went out the window. Halfway through the speech I was like "Oh crap, I'm reading too fast." So hopefully, my words were strong enough to get me a good grade.

I FINALLY stayed after-school to finish my art project. While I was waiting for the bus, the drama teacher told me that they changed the dates of the play!!! I'm sooo happy! The dates were originally on the first week if March, which conflicted with BBB. YAY!!!
So, apparently we are doing Romeo and Juliet "Seussified." Yes, it's the Docter Seuss version of Romeo and Juliet. Should be..... interesting.

NYC Trip Dresses

Well, I know the 8th grade trip to New York is still months away, but I can't help but start to think about what dress I'm going to wear for the dinner/cruise.
I really wish that we had a Forever 21 around here. They have so many awesome dresses.
So for the dinner/cruise I was thinking something like this:


Forever 21 Esther Chiffon Dress- $22.80
For the dance, I think I need a bright color dress. I absolutely love this one, it's so light and pretty. And the color is FAB.

For the Broadway show, I definitely need a chic little black dress. This one fits the bill nicely, don't you think? It's sooo me- I love the ruffles. : D

Short Story

Ooookay, so I finsihed my short story for ELA. Well, you asked for it, so here it is!

Surfing Elvis- by hannah345meow
Joey Quesley was a surfer. He lived in a beach house by the water in Manhattan Beach, California. Every night, he would get his board out and surf the crashing waves until it was dark. Then he would come inside and listen to Elvis music. Joey had a great love and appreciation for Elvis- he was his idol. Ever since Joey was a little boy, he had been his number one fan. Joey knew the words to all of the Elvis songs, and he even sung along to them sometimes. Joey thought he sounded quite good. He dreamed of someday being exactly like Elvis.
It was late in the afternoon on Halloween day, which was of course, Joey’s favorite holiday. He went upstairs to pull out his favorite white suit- the Elvis suit. He only took it out for special occasions, and Joey knew that tonight would be extra special. He had worn it every Halloween for years. Joey put on the suit, slicked his hair back and started singing. He was pleased by his amazing voice. He would surely become a star like Elvis someday.
When he was all ready, he went down to his favorite restaurant. They had a special Halloween karaoke going on tonight, and Joey wouldn’t even think of missing out on it. So he got up on the stage, grabbed the microphone and started to sing “Burnin’ Love.” He looked out into the audience. Everyone was watching him, but no one seemed too pleased. So Joey started singing at the top of his lungs. Soon, he heard a booing noise coming from one table. Then another table. Soon, the entire audience started booing at him. One man even took a tomato off of his plate and threw it at him. Joey was confused. What was wrong with his beautiful singing? He tried to push through, but the booing became too loud. He threw down the microphone and escaped out the back door.
He ran all the way back to his house. He was very upset.
“How can I be like my idol if I can’t even sing?” He thought. Joey looked out his window. On the beach, he saw people lined up and people surfing the waves. He yearned to be out there with them. At a time like this, surfing was the only thing that could make him feel better. So he grabbed his board and went down to the water. Little did he know that the Scare ‘N Tear Halloween surf competition was going on today. Luckily for him, he was still wearing his Elvis costume. When it was his turn, Joey jumped up on his board confidently and surfed the huge waves with ease. When he slid onto shore, everyone was cheering his name.
Later that night, they announced Joey as the winner. So there he went, up to the winners stand, still in his Elvis costume. He looked out into the large crowd. And this time, they weren’t booing him off the stage. They were cheering, clapping, and smiling. It was then that Joey realized that he shouldn’t try to be someone he isn’t. The best thing to do it to just be yourself.

Edible Fabuliciousness

Oooh, what are these cute little things?

I made these today at Adopt a Grandparent. Isn't it nice to know that I'm helping the elderly do important things? If you haven't already guessed, these are made out of candy. I think everyone ate theirs afterwards, but I was like "nooo way" because I had touched them with my hands. My sexy little green snowman is like straight off the runway in his little fruit-roll-up dress. The other one's just weird.

I made a snow-dog too, but it was just not cute.

Anyway, rehearsal today- we choreographed "Lot of Livin to Do." Ummmm.... WOW. Never mind the Telephone Hour! THIS is tough. Apparently it's the biggest dance number in the show, and I can see why. But we had our first rehearsal in the actual theater today, so that was kinda cool.

Happy Inauguration!

Happy inauguration day! Yes, I was able to witness the exact moment when Barack Obama became president. I feel so special. : D
We were all called down to the auditorium during school and we got to watch it on the big screen. It was very emotional. Inspiring, even.

Golden Globes

Did anyone watch the Golden Globes last Sunday? Oh, well I did. I saw some really great dresses, but also some really bad missteps.

My Worst Dressed:

Maggie Gyllenhaal Ummmm... whaaaat? I don't get this at all. I hate the shape, the blue leopard print is wierd, and the shoulder ruffle just doesn't work. Not cute.

Yeeeahhh, some of those dresses were nice- but if I were on the red carpet.......

The Bright Side

Hello everyone. It's only been a few hours since my last post (It's past midnight), and I am not as sad as I was before. I am even trying to look at the bright side of things.

I needed to get my Keds for BBB, so when we went to the mall, we stopped at some other stores on the way. Shopping will relieve the pain. : )

Okay, enough doom and gloom.

I also stopped at Aeropostale. YES, I KNOW that I said I don't wear clothes from there. But I was looking online, and a lot of their stuff is so cute. And pretty good prices, too. It's not what I expected it to be. SO YES, today I made my first ever purchase at Aeropostale.

And I mean, come on- a sweater like this is just too adorable.

We ALSO went to Wet Seal. I flippin love that store. I seriously want to buy everything in there. I am so getting a job there when I'm older. DISCOUNT, BABY!!! LOL.

I found this top on the clearance rack. I soooooo love it! It's really cute- but super fashion-forward.

Worst Day Ever

Well, today is the day that my entire future came crashing down within an hour. I spent the whole day trying to hold back tears. Today was the lottery for the high school of my dreams. I think it's totally unfair because the selection is completely random. So there were some extremeley stupid people that were accepted. I AM A STRAIGHT A STUDENT. I am just about ready to kill someone at the moment.
There were a lot of applications this year, and only 50 or spaces. So obviously, a lot of kids would be put on the waiting list. All of my friends that applied were within the first 20 spaces on the waiting list. And then there was me. NUMBER 65. So, if 65 kids decide to drop out, it's my space. Lucky me.
My whole family was upset today, so my mom took me out shopping. We had to get my keds for BBB, so we stopped at some other stores and I got a few things. I will post them later. I am NOT in the mood right now.

Snow Crazy

SNOW!!! HOORAY!!! I love snow. It's been snowing all day while we were at school, and I couldn't wait to get home to take some pics.

Purple Scarf

Here's today's fab outfit. I love scarves! So cozy. : )

I had Adopt a Grandparent again today. This time we painted. No lie. So here's the story; I was at the table with two ladies. One of them doesn't paint at all and the other one is pretty much deaf. She's doing good for a while, but then suddenly decides that she doesn't want to do it anymore. So, trying to be helpful, I move the cups of paint away from her so that they won't spill. After a while, the assistant comes over and asks her why she isn't painting. To which she replies "I don't have any paint." The assisant looks over to see all the paint on my side of the table. I felt really bad!

So anyways, that's my funny story of the day. Hope you enjoyed it. LOL.

BTW-I need white Keds for BBB. Soon. Does anyone know where I can get some?
