So in order to answer this awesome question, I have took some very simple outfits and accessorized to make them fabulous.
Here, I took the very classic combination of a T-shirt and jeans and added some color. Colored accessories are the key when you have an outfit that has neutral colors. I personally love black and yellow together, so I added yellow ballet flats and a bracelet. If you're going to add a contrasting color, don't add too much. A simple gray bag is just right to finish off the look.
If you're wearing an outfit that already has a lot of color in it, you should accessorize with silver or neutral colors. In this outfit, we have a really bright, colorful skirt. The neutral shoes and bag go perfectly because the colors aren't conflicting.
